Cover for dishes "Kurochka"
An interesting idea to design a festive table for Easter! Such a chicken can temporarily hide the vase with sweets or pastries “under its wing”, and at the end of the dinner present a pleasant surprise to your guests. The use and application of this bag is very wide: you can pack souvenirs or sweets, use as a cover for dishes (cups, low bottles, saltworts and others), as well as a bag for storing herbs and spices.
Sewing a cover requires the following materials: fabric for the warp (thick, which will keep its shape well); • two different materials for creating wings and beak (white plus orange); • • red yarn for comb, some white and purple threads for the tail of the chicken (“ plumage "always matches the color of the wings andbasics); • scissors; • needle with a big eye; • two beads for the eyes (can be replaced with large beads); • • polymer glue; • • strong cord (for tightening ).
Create a bird shape on paper (size is arbitrary, it depends on the amount of fabric or your own preferences), also draw a wing.
Double the circle on the wrong side of the fabric, placing the parts in a mirror, and cut out with the allowance on the seams.
Before you begin to sew the base, you need to take care of additional details (because they also need to be included in the work on the beginning the first stage of sewing). Therefore, then you need to make a scallop. To do this, from the remains of the fabric, cut out a small even square, fold it in half and stitch it with a red yarn, forming protruding loops.
The tail has the same structure, but combines two colors: white (wing color) and purple (base color). It is twice as big as a comb.
After as ready comb, beak and tail, you can proceed to the main task - stitching the base. Two of its parts must be folded inward face and stitch reverse stitch. When you reach the tail area, place a wide blank between the base details with the cotton side inwards and sew with them.
Also sew and comb, placing it on the crown.
Beak is the last to put in place and, as shown below, with the tip inside.
Next, on a white cloth, circle the paper wing on both sides and carefully cut both painted details (but without any allowance).
Take a thread, beads for a peephole and glue .
Eyes are better to sew, but the wings can be glued.
It remains to draw the thread into the hollow bottom seam. This thread will fix the position of the hen and change it depending on your needs.
So just and quickly you can make an interesting holiday attribute. It will well complement the children's party, serve as a means of storing cutlery during a picnic and even replace a thermos bottle, protecting products from the sun or vice versa, preventing them from cooling quickly in the air.
