How to cook rice soup?

Rice soup is a fairly simple and at the same time nutritious dish. Cooking such a nourishing soup-chowder does not take much time and will allow you to get enough calories. Let's take a look at how to make rice soup so that both children and adults like it. We present two interesting recipes of varying complexity - simpler, without meat, and more complex.

Simple rice soup without meat

This soup does not require you special cooking skills. It is done quite simply, and children eat it with pleasure.

For two portions we need

  • Long grain rice - half a cup;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 potato;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • sprigs of parsley;
  • salt, pepper, bay leaf to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Cut a clove of garlic and carrot into slices. Larger we cut the potatoes. Onions - strips or cubes, whatever you like.
  2. Put the garlic in the boiling salted water, pepper it, add the bay leaf.
  3. Put carrots and onions in a saucepan, cook on low heat for about five minutes, then add the potatoes.
  4. Cook under the lid for 15 minutes.
  5. Add the washed rice and cook until it is ready - about 20 minutes.
  6. If necessary, add salt, add parsley.

The soup will turn out quite thick and fragrant.

Tomato Rice Soup

This soup is somewhat more difficult to prepare, but it will surely please your family with a unique taste.


  • rice - 150 g;
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc;
  • onions - 1 pc;
  • 1 carrot;
  • potatoes - 3-4 pieces;
  • tomato paste - 3 tbsp. l;
  • pepper (can be different types) - to taste;
  • salt, herbs - to taste;
  • 2 tooth. garlic;
  • Bay leaf.

How to cook rice soup:

  1. My rice, pour water, set on fire.
  2. We clean the potatoes, cut into cubes, add to the pan. Bring to a boil, remove the foam. Reduce the heat and cook for another 10 minutes.
  3. Fry onion in vegetable oil until golden brown, add diced carrots to onions. Fry together for 3 minutes.
  4. We clean the Bulgarian pepper and cut it into large cubes. Add it to the pan to the onions and carrots.
  5. Add to the vegetables tomato paste, garlic and all the spices. Stew for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the dressing to the soup, cook about 7 more minutes.
  7. At the end add finely chopped greens.

Beautiful thick soup of bright red color is ready!

If you like more nutritious soups, you can cook rice soup in meat broth (chicken or beef). The taste of this soup will be even richer. Boil the meat in water beforehand, remove it, and based on this broth, boil all the other ingredients. It will be possible to cut the boiled meat in small pieces and add it back to the soup.
